Weekly update, lovelies!

How has the New Year been for you thus far? Unfortunately I’ve been sick this past week but I’m finally feeling better. Yay  🙂

Are you someone who makes New Years resolutions? Do you believe in them? I never used to, or at least I would make them and then promptly forget about them but in the past few years I’ve made a conscious effort to stick to my goals and slowly work towards them. This year my resolutions include:

  • finish the sequel to Follow You Down
  • engage with my readers more (which is why I’m doing more ‘personal’ updates these days)
  • do something that scares me. LOL. I tend to stick to my comfort zone which doesn’t really help with personal growth, so, in an attempt to expand my horizons, I want to do something scary every few months. Now keep in mind, my definition of ‘scary’ might not necessarily align with yours; nonetheless, they’re terrifying to me
  • keep eating healthy. I lost 25 lbs more than a year ago by eating healthier foods and I want to keep maintaining that. I don’t like cooking so for me eating healthy entails packaged salads for dinner.

What are some of your new years resolutions? And do you have some kind of plans to tackle them?

For those reading Second Chance,  the next chapter is 70% done. I’m planning to update in the next few days. I hope Baris Arduc never gets rid of his beard because every time I see him with a heavy beard, I’m inspired to write more. LOL.

Anyway, have a great week. Remember to be kind to yourself and to others 🙂

  1. Hello! Hope you will recover soon and it is very good that you are feeling better.
Resolution “do something that scares me” is a good one, I would even say amazing one. Because throughout it you realise that so many usual and somewhat simple things scare the hell out of you. But it is amazing. I wish you luck in this and all the best. Sending you all the support I can 🙂
I am not a New-Year-Resolutions person, because think that it is never late to start something new and it usually never works with me. LOL. But if I do not connect a resolution\promise or whatever to a “new beginning” like a new year, new month or week, it usually works.
And the last, but not the least. Oh. My. God. That beard. I mean, how on Earth..? No wonder you get inspired. I mean I get inspired and I am not writing or drawing anything 🙂
LOL. I’ve just realised that the word “inspired” the way I’ve used it sounds like a euphemism. I swear, it’s not 😀
    Well, maybe, a little.
    Good luck!

    1. Thank you, Maria! I’m very lazy in my life so I really need to push myself to do things. I’m not ambitious enough to say I’ll do something scary every month but I think I can manage every few months. LOL. Whatever it is you set your mind to, I hope you’re able to accomplish it – new years or not 🙂

I love Baris’s heavy beard. Seriously. The way he looked in ep 53 – 57 with the heavy beard and thicker frame – damn, damn, damn. Let’s hope he never gets rid of it. In my case, “inspired” is definitely a euphemism. Hah.

Good luck to you as well!

      1. Oh, thank you so much 🙂
I think that doing something scary every few months is quite good. Because it usually takes time to prepare and then to recover and realise that it is finally done, so I think that you are great.
Oh, yeah, the favourite episodes 😀
But now, I think, it is even thicker as he kind of let it grow a lot.
All we can is hope actually, because he is an actor and any role can come by. However, we will always have these episodes, promos along with photos and videos from the movie premier to admire. And maybe, if we are lucky enough, a nice bearded commercial 😀
And eventually he will return to the beard, I believe.

  2. Happy New Year to you too.Well I am one of those who try to keep my new year resolutions. One is to keep fighting with kilos 5 more to go.And giving up smoking….now the first is definetely easier. The second is quite difficult but i will try at least to reduce it.Now as for B.A. …He killed us softly with his beard ,smile and wearing black.Get well soon.Kisses.

    1. The smoking thing is going to be difficult but you can do it! I have faith in you. And yes, Baris’s beard has been on the heavier side lately and I’m loving it! I hope he never gets rid of it.

  3. I’m sorry you are not feeling well I hope you get well soon. Is Follow you down a book or you are just going to post it here? I’m with you I love Baris with the bushy beard I just want to run my finger through it.

    1. The sequel will be published as a book but I’ll post teasers once it’s finished and edited 🙂 And thank you for the well-wishes. I feel much better now 🙂
